Camp Meds: Improved medication distribution In our on-going commitment to meet the needs of our campers who require medication while at camp, this summer we will be working with CampMeds Inc., a pre-packaging medication program founded by a former camp nurse. CampMeds has been servicing the camping industry for the past 10 summers providing the convenient service of dispensing, packaging and shipping medications directly to summer camps. This program will benefit campers in several ways. It will:
  • Reduce the amount of time that campers spend waiting in line to receive daily medications, allowing them to spend more time involved in camp programs.
  • Ensure that the proper medications are dispensed at the proper time, minimizing the chance of human error.
  • Keep Tawonga in compliance with applicable laws and American Camp Association guidelines.
All campers who take daily medications will be required to utilize CampMeds and their services. CampMeds operates as a regular pharmacy, working directly with most insurance companies. As a fee for their service, CampMeds charges a $50 fee, plus any regular copayment charges. More information will be provided after registration. In the meantime, if you have questions about the program, please contact us - we're happy to help! We are confident that this program will help us achieve our primary goal: the health, well-being and safety of your child.

Tawonga Havurah Add Camp Tawonga flavor to your group of friends! Havurah means "circle of friends" and is typically a group who meet regularly to socialize, celebrate, and do fun activities. Gather your friends, family, and neighbors and become a Tawonga Havurah (even if some or none of the families are Tawongans). Throughout the year Tawonga will send you:
  • Fun, engaging, family-friendly activities like team building games
  • Creative art project ideas like Hanukkah menorah making instructions
  • Easy and kid-friendly recipes to make together
  • Ideas for Tikkun Olam focused projects
  • Suggestions for outings and hikes around the Bay Area
  • And much more!

Tawonga House Parties Do you know families in your neighborhood, school, extended family, or community who would want to learn more about camp? We'd like to tell them all about Camp Tawonga in your home!

How it works: Bring five families or more to your home for a Tawonga presentation/meet and greet and we'll send a director or other year-round staff member to your house to help introduce your friends to the magic of Camp Tawonga.
