Welcome Session 3 & 3a!

Today we welcomed our Session 3 and 3a campers to Tawonga — and you could feel the excitement buzzing through the trees. For many of these campers, Tawonga is more than just a summer camp — it’s their second home, a place that even many of their parents once roamed as campers, and a welcoming Jewish community they’ve been counting down the days to return to.

As the buses pulled in, our eager staff greeted each camper with huge smiles, a ton or ruach (spirit) and our signature song, “We Welcome You to Camp Tawonga” — a tradition that always sets the tone for the magic to come. It was hugs, high-fives, and happy tears all around as old friends reunited and new bunkmates met for the first time.

After settling into bunks and unpacking, campers wasted no time diving back into the rhythm of Camp life. The evening wrapped up with our classic opening night campfire — full of heartwarming skits, singing, and the unmistakable spark that makes Tawonga feel like home.

This session is already off to a beautiful start, and there’s so much more adventure and connection in store.
