First Day of Session II and Bunk Photos
Campers are having a blast on their first full day of Session II! After breakfast, cabins participated in Rotations, an in-depth tour of Tawonga to learn about (or re-learn) all the awesome activities Camp has to offer. Each speciality department, including Arts & Crafts, Waterfront, the Greater Department of Programming, Jewish learning, and the Garden gave campers a sense of the wide variety of activities to explore.
Later in the afternoon, during what we call “Clearing House,” counselors custom-crafted schedules for their bunks, based on input from the campers on how they wanted to spend their time at Tawonga. This process of collective decision-making is indicative of Camp’s focus on building a cooperative community. No two bunk schedules are alike, giving each cabin an experience that is uniquely theirs.
Over the next two weeks, we hope our campers find strength in their bunk community and build lasting friendships with fellow bunkmates!
Below, enjoy photos of all 25 bunks at Camp this session! And later tonight, we’ll share some more photos from the afternoon and evening activities.
