Join Us!
Join your Camp Tawonga community on Sunday, September 29 from 3-5pm for our annual Erev Rosh Hashanah Celebration! We will gather on the beautiful Marin coast at McNears Beach for an inspiring, musical outdoor service and celebration to welcome the Jewish new year together.
Program
All are welcome, from babies to great grandparents. This is a family-friendly service full of Tawonga ruach (spirit), learning and song led by our service founders Deborah Newbrun (2018 Covenant Award winner and former Camp Director), Sue Reinhold and Isaac Zones. In addition, we will have incredible supporting musicians harmonizing and playing percussion, guitar and bass.
Don’t forget to bring a shofar for our ceremonial community blowing of the shofar! Children ages 5-12 can also join a separate kid program led by Tawonga staff with new year-themed activities. Watch this video from last year to get a sense of what the day will be like!
Parking
There is ample free parking at Mcnears Beach. However, we are expecting a very large turnout and highly encourage carpooling.
Tickets
Tickets are on a sliding scale from $18 per person to $108 per person.
