Farewell, Session IV!

Today was a bittersweet day at Camp Tawonga as we said goodbye to our Session IV campers. We all had such a great time getting to know the kids, and together we made so many memories and friendships that will surely last a lifetime. We hope that each and every camper comes back next year to experience this special place once again!

We started off our day today with a spirited final breakfast song session that led into our final Shalom Circle of the summer. Lots of hugs and tears were shared as all of Camp sang, “Leaving on a Jet Bus” before saying their final goodbyes to their counselors and bunkmates as they walked through “The Tunnel of Love” towards their respective buses.

On behalf of all the staff here at Camp, I would like to say thank you to all the campers that attended and to all the parents that followed along on the Blog. It has been my pleasure each and every day to get to hang out and get to know so many of the campers, watching them grow as individuals, make friends, experience nature and connect to Judaism. It’s truly special to witness all the magic that happens here at Camp. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to ensure the blog gets posted each and every day and it has been a team effort through and through. I would like to thank the outstanding Director team for creating an amazing atmosphere here at Camp for campers and staff alike. I would also like to thank the amazing staff for being the glue that holds this community strong, to the parents for trusting us to take care of their kids, and most of all, to the campers who join us each season.

Signing off.
