Session III is Here and Full of Cheer!
The buses have rolled into Camp, and Tawonga is once again buzzing with energy and excitement. The bunk lists have been read, name tags distributed and campers are busy settling into their new home for the next three weeks! In between unpacking, ice-breakers and bonding with their new bunk-mates and counselors, campers also went on a “Havurah hike” and got a short tour of Camp to get oriented and comfortable.
Later, during our Opening Campfire, each bunk performed a one-minute skit to introduce themselves and their cabin to the rest of Camp. These Session III campers brought so much creativity to their performances, incorporating music, drama and a lot of fun to perform with and for their new friends. We’re in for an epic Session III with this incredible group of kids!
P.S. For parents of Session III campers who are tuning in, please note that we are only able to post a photo of every camper once per week. If you do not see your child on the blog after a week (and would like to), email casey@tawonga.org. For more on what to expect from our summer blog, please read this post.
Here are some photos from the buses in Oakland this morning and Camp this afternoon and evening:
