So Much Ruach for Shabbat

This first Shabbat of Session III was a sight to behold! The evening began with a beautiful Shabbat Stroll where, bunk by bunk, cleaned-up campers joined a sweet serenade through all of Camp, led by our songleaders Maya, Jordan and Eden. Upon reaching the Dining Hall, our entire community warmly embraced one another, sharing “Shabbat Shalom” wishes.

With Chalutzim bunks back in Camp this afternoon after returning triumphant from their backpacking trips, all cabins were present to celebrate Shabbat together. In addition, we had the pleasure of being joined by our incredible Board of Directors, who are spending the weekend at Tawonga for their annual retreat.

After Shabbat prayers, home-made challah, and a delicious dinner of roasted chicken and vegetables, the Dining Hall erupted in so much ruach (spirit) for song session, which we call “freilach” on Shabbat. You can see here just how much energy was in the room tonight.
