Dylan fell in love with Camp Tawonga during her first summer on staff in 2017 and never looked back. After seven summers and roles ranging from counselor to teen programs supervisor, Tawonga has deeply shaped how she supports young people as they grow. She is passionate about designing programs for teens that foster independence, resilience, and meaningful connection and she can’t wait to do so on the Director Team at Camp this summer!

Dylan previously taught middle school science in Los Angeles, bringing her passion for the outdoors into the classroom. Whether guiding teens on a backpacking trip, teaching about Earth’s dynamic systems, or facilitating deep conversations around a campfire, Dylan is committed to reimagining what learning can look like when it centers joy, growth, authentic connection, and a side of humor.
