Interim Chief Program Officer
Mimi Gordon
Training Topics:
Mimi grew up in the Bay Area Jewish community and attended Tawonga as a camper from 1984 to 1991. She began working at Tawonga as a counselor in 1995, working summers through 2001, when she joined the year-round team. She served as an assistant director, associate director, and director through 2010. After 9 years working at Tawonga year-round, Mimi spent 8 years as VP of People at Galileo, a multi-site STEAM and innovation-education summer camp company, leading during a decade of growth and expansion. In 2018, she started her own company, coaching leaders and working with leadership teams to build joyful, healthy workplaces with exceptional people, culture, and program practices. Mimi is thrilled to return to the Tawonga team, which feels like returning home. She loves to be outdoors, particularly walking or hiking, and she loves food, film, and stand-up comedy. When she’s not at Camp, she can be found adventuring or at home in San Francisco, where she lives with her husband and two cats.
