Breakfast

Scrambled eggs with hash browns and grapefruit

Lunch

Pita sandwiches with hummus, couscous, feta cheese, greek salad and tzatziki

Fruit: Oranges

Dinner

Shepherd’s pie with ground beef, peas, carrots and a side of roasted broccoli

Dessert: Chocolate cake

 

Delicious vegetarian and vegan options are available for every meal, in addition to a “middle table” with alternative meal options to meet every camper’s needs.

During breakfast,

the middle table offers a wide selection of cold cereal and milk (dairy-free options available as well), in addition to hot cereal with a variety of toppings. Each lunch and dinner, campers can also choose from options at the middle table, including sun-butter and jelly sandwiches, tuna sandwiches and hummus. A salad bar with ample fixings is also available to campers and staff for every meal to either supplement or replace the options on the menu that day.  

 

Where the Campers Are

Today

The unit of Galil (B-3, B-4A, B-4B, G-3 and G-4) along with G-1, G-2A and G-2B all returned from their backpacking trips full of stories and covered in dirt from their overnight in the backcountry.

Tomorrow

The unit of Eilat (B-5, B-6, G-5, G-6A and G-6B) along with B-1 and B-2 leave to go backpacking.

 

Birthdays

No birthdays to celebrate today, but did you know that Tawonga is celebrating its 94th birthday this year? Be on the lookout for information regarding our 95th anniversary gala taking place next year!

Did You Know …

Each year, we try to bring our Tawonga community “down the mountain” through events held in the Bay Area. One of these events is our annual Erev Rosh Hashanah Celebration.
