Bittersweet Goodbyes

There was so much love in the air as we said our bittersweet goodbyes to these amazing Session III campers! As we sang, hugged, laughed and cried together during the final Shalom Circle, campers and staff alike were struck with the deep feelings of community and friendship that we made during these three incredible weeks. We truly appreciate each and every kid who comes through our gate because without them, Tawonga wouldn’t be the magical place that it is. We loved getting to know Session III campers and we can’t wait to meet again in the summers to come!

Please enjoy the pictures below that capture our last moments of profound love and friendship with this incredible group of individuals.

P.S. Just because Session III is ending doesn’t mean your time with Tawonga has to. We hope your family will join us for events back home through our Tawonga Down the Mountain programming.

Reunite with your Camp community for Jewish Heritage Nights with the Giants and A’s, an outdoor Erev Rosh Hashanah Celebration, a 2016 Camper and Family Reunion and more!

P.P.S. Also, consider Camp Tawonga for your child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah experience! We’ve launched a brand-new, two-year alternative program starting this fall for 5th and 6th graders (grade exceptions can be made for 7th graders). Please email Ashley@tawonga.org for more information and to save your spot for 2017.
