First Full Day of Session III

The first full day of Session III was a huge success to say the least! Today campers learned about all the activities Camp has to offer, had a blast during Cabin Floats and met everyone in their Unit during Opening Unit Activities.

As the sun set, everyone in Camp participated in a favorite activity for many campers and staff alike: our Gender Campfires. Female and male campers gathered separately to discuss gender-specific issues and to set intentions on how they want to live communally and be their best selves during their time here at Camp.

This is a unique Tawonga tradition which helps establish a safe, inclusive and welcoming space where campers feel empowered to share and get support from their friends– just one of the many ways that Tawonga builds community, informed by our Mission and philosophy.
