Meet Session IV Bunks!

Session IV is off to a fantastic start! These campers have so much ruach (spirit) – we know this is going to be a very memorable 2 1/2 weeks together.

Below, we are thrilled to introduce the bunks of Session IV. Camp Tawonga subscribes to a group-centered approach where campers spend the majority of their time together in their bunk unit, forging close bonds, contributing to the cabin through shared jobs, supporting each other and having a ton of fun. This community-centered philosophy is central to our Mission, encouraging campers to connect and build trusting relationships with their bunk-mates and counselors.

Today, the campers continued to settle into their home away from home. This morning during Rotations, the kids checked out all of the different activities and programs they will be participating in this session, including Arts and Crafts, the pool, the Farm & Garden and more. During the afternoon, campers joined Cabin Floats, where bunks decide as a group which activities to explore together. This is one of the ways campers are able to explore their independence by making decisions together as a group.

Enjoy the photos below. We will also post again tonight after our evening activities. Please remember that we are able to post a photo of every camper once a week, so look out for our next round of Camp-wide bunk photos early next week.
