Where the Campers Are
Today
The unit of Haifa (B-7, B-8, G-7, G-8A and G-8B) left on their backpacking trips today and are sleeping under the stars in the beautiful Yosemite backcountry tonight. The bunks of G-9 and G-10 are on the Challenge Course today building bonds amongst themselves and getting outside their comfort zones.
Tomorrow
Haifa returns from their backpacking trips, while the bunks of B-1 and B-2 leave on theirs!
Birthdays
Today we are wishing a very special happy birthday to two of our amazing Session IV campers Sarah G. and Zoe P. who get to celebrate their special days at Camp this year!
Here’s what celebrating a birthday at Camp Tawonga looks like. (Hint: It’s pretty special.)
How’s the Weather? ☀️
Sunny with a high of 91, low of 61 today
During the hottest time of the day, campers relax in the shade of their cabins during Rest Hour. In case you missed it, check out this post on what a “typical day” at Camp Tawonga looks like.
Did You Know …
Last year, we served more people than ever before, expanding the reach of our at-Camp programs, exploring deeper ways to engage teens and graduating our first-ever class of Tawonga Bar & Bat Mitzvah students! We take pride in the community we have created together, so check out our 2018 Impact Report here to learn more about the important milestones our community reached last year.
The Tawonga Tidbit brings you a daily dose of Camp with our kitchen menu, Camp birthdays and more. We hope this series brings you a bit closer to Tawonga!
