Tawonga Tidbit

Tawonga Tidbit – Making the Most of Session B

It’s the 2nd to last full day of the session, and campers are making the most of their time here blending bike smoothies in the garden, playing all types of sports, cooking traditional Israeli foods, getting crafty at A&C and celebrating goat Baaaat Mitzvahs.

No matter what block campers are participating in, they have the opportunity to learn new skills, team build, express themselves and have fun. Lucky kids!

🍳 Today’s Kitchen Menu

🥚 Frittata with caramelized onion, spinach, tomato and gouda with oranges

🌺 Hawaiian chicken wraps with chicken, broccoli, carrot, cilantro, cabbage slaw and Hawaiian dressing

🍑 Fruit: Peaches and nectarines

🥖 Baked penne dish with parmesan cheese, roasted veggies and dinner rolls

🍪 Dessert: Blondies

A Note on Alternative Foods
🥑 Tasty vegetarian and vegan options are available for every meal, in addition to a “middle table” with alternative meal options to meet every camper’s needs.

🥣 During breakfast, the middle table offers a wide selection of cold cereal and milk (dairy-free options too), in addition to hot cereal with toppings. Each lunch and dinner, campers can choose from options at the middle table, like sun-butter and jelly sandwiches, tuna sandwiches and hummus.

🏕 Backpacking Trips and Challenge Course
