Welcome to Camp, Session IV!

Today we “sang in” our last session of campers as the buses rolled down the hill and into Camp! These Tawongans jumped off the buses with tons of enthusiasm, ready to take on Session IV!

Upon arrival, Camp Director Becca Meyer and Associate Director Aaron Mandel announced bunk assignments. Energetic counselors ran on to the stage, jumping into each others arms, dancing and bringing all the ruach. Campers were greeted with high fives and hugs from the counselors – their honorary “parents” for the next two and a half weeks.

Counselors then led campers on what Camp calls a havurah hike, getting oriented to our grounds with buildings like the Health Center, Dining Hall and Bath Houses. This “hike” acts as a tour of Tawonga for campers old and new to familiarize themselves with our property.

After a delicious dinner of teriyaki chicken, all of Camp gathered at the stage for an opening campfire featuring skits from each cabin which shared their bunk themes. We closed out the night with a few Camp classics: “Friends, Friends, Friends” and “Shalom Chaverim.”

We’re excited to give these campers the best session ever! Welcome back Session IV!
