Adam Weiss

Board member since: 2024

Adam Weiss is a Bay Area architect specializing in creating residential design solutions that often grow from within traditional settings, yet express a modern understanding of the joys of light and space; shelter and flow; efficiency and bounty, materiality and sentiment. AWA focuses on residential architecture: helping clients find creative spatial solutions for their family’s changing needs. Whether this means remodeling an existing home, building a second unit, or building a new home from scratch, AWA provides the attention and expertise needed to generate solutions that are both joyous and efficient. In his nearly 20 years in the field, Adam has worked on every scale of project: from small residential remodels, to summer camps, to elementary schools, to hospitals, to entire universities. In 2017, Adam left corporate architecture to return to his roots and open Adam Weiss Architecture. Informed by years of practice in the Japanese martial art of Aikido, Adam creates solutions that thrive in even the most challenging conditions. Adam received his Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon in 1999 and has been practicing in the Bay Area ever since.
