Shabbat Shalom from Session A
Today we asked campers, “What do you love about Shabbat at camp?”
Here’s what they had to say:
“Freylach is my favorite because it’s one giant major song session and you can hang out and run around and scream!” – Talia (G-1)
“I love the Shabbat Stroll because you’re all together so you can’t get lost and even if you don’t know the songs, you’re in a big group all together.” – Lila (G-2)
“Kabbalat Shabbat is an incredible way to express my cultural roots and have a great time with my homies.” – Everett (SCIT)
“Freylach because it’s such a good vibe and energy, especially after a year of virtual services.” – Kayla and Sophie G (SCITs)
“We love the food because the chicken is really good and the Challah is amazing. We also don’t have to sponge the tables on Fridays because they set the tables with tablecloths!” – Hudson (B-2) and Nash (B-1)
“I love the Sabbath prayer because it’s so nice to see everyone smiling together.” – Genie (SCIT)
We had a lovely final Shabbat tonight and can’t wait to wake up to bagels and the Shabbat Service tomorrow morning!
