  Today’s Kitchen Menu


Scrambled eggs with english muffins and grapefruit slices


Fish Tacos with black beans, salsa, sour cream and shredded cabbage

Fruit: Oranges


Lasagna with red sauce and veggies

Dessert: Chocolate Chip Cookies


Delicious vegetarian and vegan options are available for every meal, in addition to a “middle table” with alternative meal options to meet every camper’s needs.

During breakfast, the middle table offers a wide selection of cold cereal and milk (dairy-free options available as well), in addition to hot cereal with a variety of toppings. Each lunch and dinner, campers can also choose from options at the middle table, including sun-butter and jelly sandwiches, tuna sandwiches and hummus. A salad bar with ample fixings is also available to campers and staff for every meal to either supplement or replace the options on the menu that day.  


Where the Campers Are


The unit of Haifa (G-7, G-8, B-7, B-8A and B-8B) left today to spend a night sleeping under the stars, while the bunks of B-1 and B-2 returned from their overnight trip. B-3, B-4A and B-4B were on the Challenge Course today expanding their comfort zones.


Haifa returns from backpacking and G-9, G-10A and G-10B are on the challenge course tomorrow.



What’s so special about today? It’s the birthday of K-Staff member Oona A. and counselor Rafi L. who both get to celebrate their special days with a famous Camp Tawonga birthday bowl!
