Join your Camp Tawonga community virtually on Friday, September 18 from 4:30-5:30pm for our annual Erev Rosh Hashanah Celebration! While we can’t convene in-person as usual this year, we will gather on Zoom for an inspiring, interactive, musical service and celebration to welcome the Jewish New Year together.
If you have an outdoor space available with wifi, we recommend that you set up a picnic blanket for your family and pod (if applicable) so we can celebrate together in nature.
Program
All are welcome, from babies to great grandparents! This is a family-friendly service full of Tawonga ruach (spirit), learning and song led by our service founders Deborah Newbrun (2018 Covenant Award winner and former Tawonga Camp Director), beloved song leader, Isaac Zones and Torah scholar, Sue Reinhold.
Don’t forget to bring a shofar for our ceremonial community shofar blowing (this year we will hear shofars through Zoom from the Bay Area and beyond!) We’ll also be sharing resources on how to make your own shofar and other Rosh Hashanah activities to keep your kids engaged during the service.
Tickets
Tickets are on a sliding scale from $18 to $108 per family.
