Join your Camp Tawonga community on Sunday, September 9 from 3-5pm for our annual Erev Rosh Hashanah Celebration! We will gather in the beautiful redwoods of Joaquin Miller Park for an inspiring, musical outdoor service and celebration to welcome the Jewish new year together.
All are welcome, from babies to great grandparents! This is a family-friendly service full of Tawonga ruach (spirit,) learning and song led by our service founders Deborah Newbrun (also 2018 Covenant Award winner and Tawonga’s Senior Jewish Educator), Sue Reinhold and Isaac Zones. Children ages 5-12 can also join a separate kid program led by Tawonga staff with new year-themed activities. Watch this video to learn more about the day!
There are a few lots on Sanborn Drive – Tawonga staff will help direct you. Additionally, there is plenty of street parking on Joaquin Miller Road. After parking your car in the lot, walk back toward Joaquin Miller Road. The park entrance and trail will be on your left. See park sign pointing towards “Pinewood Picnic.” Head down the trail toward the meadow area.
Tickets are on a sliding scale from $18 per person to $72 per person. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If you need a reduced price ticket please call or email our San Francisco office.
