Goodbye, Session III!

Staff led Session III campers through the “Tunnel of Love” this morning, sending them onto buses and eventually back home, to the “real world.”

Last night, all of Camp gathered for a memorable closing at the stage where many bunks performed songs, poems and skits. Camp Director Becca Meyer discussed different ways of “bringing Tawonga home” as everyone prepared to wrap up a memorable session.

This morning, everyone gathered by Unit to share memory sheets and exchange contact information. As campers walked through the Tunnel of Love, they hugged staff members goodbye and shed tears, reminding one another that there will always be next summer.

Thank you so much Session III families for keeping up with the blog and sharing your kids with us this summer.

P.S. We would love to stay connected with your family throughout the year! Join some Tawonga Down the Mountain programs like our Jewish Heritage Nights in August with the Oakland A’s and SF Giants.

Also, please save the date for Tawonga’s Erev Rosh Hashanah Celebration in Oakland’s Joaquin Miller Park on Sunday, September 9.

Lastly, be sure to stay in the loop on Tawonga happenings on Facebook and Twitter.
