Shabbat Shalom, Session IV!
It’s hard to believe we have already arrived to the last shabbat of the summer season. Shabbat is truly one of the most special days of the week here and we are so happy to be celebrating with all our wonderful Session IV campers.
Shabbat began with a stroll led by our song leaders beginning at the Dining Hall, picking each bunk up outside of their cabin. After a delicious Shabbat dinner, campers danced and sang during a freilach song session. Below enjoy photos of the evening. Shabbat shalom!

Putting Children First: Inside Tawonga’s Staff Training Week
Halfway through Camp Tawonga’s Staff Training Week, Camp Director Aaron Mandel reflected while sitting by the lake: “I feel like every summer is the best summer at Tawonga. It’s cheesy, but I mean that. We just keep getting better and better every year.”
Over the past week, more than 200 summer staff members gathered for our annual week of trainings to prepare for the 1,300 children and teens who will be joining us this summer for joyful Jewish experiences. We’ve been waiting all year for this!
