Taking Tawonga on the Road: A Taste of Quest

Today, we bring you some adventure on the blog, with highlights from A Taste of Quest! (Session II families can find photos from Camp below.)

Tawonga’s Quest program takes the magic of Camp on the road for the ultimate outdoor adventure. Through seven Quests currently offered, Questers venture on exciting road trips where they backpack, surf, swim and rock-climb in the great outdoors. This past week, 12 Questers explored the great outdoors during A Taste of Quest.

Highlights

  • A beautiful and relaxing backpacking trip to Cascade Creek
  • Driving through Yosemite National Park while dancing and singing along to their favorite songs and playing team-building games.
  • Roasting marshmallows
  • Impromptu dance-offs
  • Making “mountain mac n cheese” (Many Questers said this was the best mac and cheese they’d ever had!)

On the final night of the Quest, the kids shared a banquet-style meal in the wilderness that they cooked together on a camping stove.
