Chugim
Today, the units of Carmel, Galil and Eilat had their first round of Chugim.
Chugim are skill-based electives– over the course of several blocks counselors and specialists teach the campers a new ability or technique, expanding their own personal interests and gaining knowledge in an area of their choosing. For some it’s a great way to bond with others who share similar interests, and for others it helps them break out of their comfort zones by participating in something they’ve never done before. Campers and their Chugim leaders can do anything from learning how to be song leaders, beat-boxing/rapping and dancing, to ping-pong, basketball and chess.
Take a look at some pictures from Chugim and stay tuned for our posts tomorrow!
